Candle Care

  • Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4 inch
  • The ideal surface for use is heat safe, away from drafts, draperies or furniture
  • Keep out of reach of pets and children
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended
  • Stop burning candle when there is 1/2 inch of wax left in the vessel
  • Candle surface may have a rough texture after burning - this is a natural occurrence and is a sign of an all-natural soy wax

How many hours will my candle burn?

Wild as Heck candles will burn an average of 40 - 50 hours. By keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch and keeping the candle away from drafts, you will maximize burn time and get the most of your candle.

Why soy wax?

Soy wax is often preferred to traditional paraffin wax because it is a cleaner-burning, non-toxic, sustainable, and vegetable-derived product that lasts up to 50% longer. It produces minimal soot, provides better scent throw through a cooler burn, and is biodegradable, making it safer for indoor air quality and environmentally friendly.

Your candles are phthalate-free, what are phthalates?

Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to soften plastics and increase their flexibility. They are found in a wide range of everyday products, including:

Plastics: Toys, food packaging, shower curtains, vinyl flooring

Personal care products: Cosmetics, fragrances, hairsprays

Other products: Paints, detergents, insecticides

Why should they be avoided?

Endocrine disruptors: Phthalates can interfere with the body's hormone system, which can lead to a variety of health problems.

What is an ECO wick?

ECO wicks feature a flat-braided cotton design with interwoven paper threads for superior rigidity. ECO wicks are also known for their clean burning properties. They typically produce less smoke and soot than traditional wicks, and can also have a longer burn time.
